I have previously named this plant as Callisia repens (Turtle Vine, Inch Plant) until someone wrote to me in early February 2019 indicating it to be Belosynapsis ciliate instead. From the Flora of China website and the Digital Flora of Taiwan website, I got to know that Belosynapsis ciliate has flower with pink-purple petals. From the same Flora of China website, Callisia repens is described to be having flower with white petals. The plant in my pictures clearly did not have white flowers.

There is no record of Belosynapsis ciliate in the Singapore Flora Checklist published in 2009 while Callisia repens is listed. In the NParks Flora & Fauna Web, there are 2 pictures listed as Callisia repens but no picture of its flower is shown.
